Biography
Life hasn't been easy for Natalie, trying to balance her career as a primary school teacher with being a single mum. However, she is very determined to provide the best life she can for her son Noah, and doesn't let anything get in her way.
Natalie has a science background, and this is her specialism as a teacher, but she believes that the best way to children to learn is by making things, so she always has plenty of arts and crafts materials on hand. She is warm and friendly, and always makes time for those who need her.
One day in the summer holidays, Natalie took Noah on a day trip to explore some caves and look at the prehistoric cave paintings. However, she noticed that on some of them, the paint was still wet! Following a trail of wet paint led her to a small girl hiding behind a rock. She was dressed in ragged clothing and didn't understand English... in fact she looked just like a cavegirl! The little girl managed to communicate that her name was Kiki. Kiki's family were nowhere to be seen, and after calling the police, it was decided that Kiki would stay with Natalie until her family -- or a permanent adoptive family -- could be found. In the meantime, Natalie decided to try her best to teach Kiki about the unfamiliar world around her, and to encourage communication through arts and crafts. It wouldn't be an easy task, but she was up for the challenge.
